Model views: these are selected during the command as an option, for individual Grids by selection or for All Grids, which will generate a model view at each gridline location.When selecting a source line, the length of that source line will decide the grid length.Gridline based upon extreme line end points ( Note: the single line at the top of the image below) Independent lines will become Advance Steel single axis, with the same properties and will have the same length as the line.
Using the extreme points will create a gridline that is extending to the two extreme points within the group, for example, see below - the first point of line 2 and the second point of line 4. The lines when converted into Gridlines within a Grouping has options to control their length by the extreme points of the line or by a selected source line. And those lines that are not parallel to each other, will become a single-axis grid and will be based on the length of the source line.ģ. The tool will assess the lines' pattern and depending upon their alignment, if parallel to each other, they will be formed into groups of axes. The lines must be in the same plane within the model (X/Y plane). Start from some 2D CAD lines, either manually created or imported for a 3rd party AutoCAD file.
